Nau mai Haere mai ki to tatou pae tukutuku. Welcome to the Māori ‘whare’ of Community Housing Aotearoa.
From the beginning Iwi/Māori have made a significant contribution to the development and direction of the organisation with the inclusion of a Māori Caucus within the CHA Council and attracting membership from organisations ranging from marae, papakainga trusts, rūnanga, social service & health providers, advocates, consultants and trainers.
National Māori Housing Conference March 2012
The recent Maori Housing Conference was held 26-28 March 2012, in Paihia, Bay of Islands. Some of the themes that were covered included Whanau Ora and Housing; Homelessness; Social Housing; PPPs; Substandard Housing; and Quality Design.
