Working alongside the Community Housing Sector

Community Housing Aotearoa works alongside members to ensure that issues of importance to them from a local and regional perspective can be heard at a national level. We can achieve this in ways such as:

  • Supporting submissions to government agencies and other relevant groups.
  • Facilitating collaboration amongst organisations and individuals who, working together, can influence the future direction of the community housing sector.
  • Building capacity to promote and publicise issues that affect or impact on the community housing sector.

Current Examples

Examples of current member issues that Community Housing Aotearoa is actively engaged with include:

  • Collating and providing feedback to government on the the Housing Innovation Fund (HIF) process.
  • Summarising key recommendations from the recent National Maori Housing conference to put forward to government agencies and other relevant groups.
