SUMMARY:MSD Training Series - Session 3: Employment and training supports
DESCRIPTION:Session 3: Employment and training supports  – This session will provide an overview of employment and training opportunities available to people who are receiving income support. \nCommunity Housing Aotearoa and Housing First Auckland in partnership with Ministry of Social Development (MSD) will host a fourth series of online training sessions for practitioners working in the housing and homelessness sector\, starting on the 3rd May. To register please click here.  This MSD training series includes updated information and new sessions focusing on the following topics: \n\nSession 1. Products and services to support private rentals – 3rd May 2023\nSession 2. Emergency housing – 14th June 2023\nSession 3. Employment and training supports – 12th July 2023\nSession 4. Income support – benefits – 16th August 2023\nSession 5. Income support – supplementary assistance – 13th September 2023\nSession 6. Public Housing Assessment – 11th October 2023\n\nFor more information and to register for one or all of the events please click here. Once you register you will receive an email with your own unique zoom link. Please ensure that you save the zoom link and date in your diary as it does not automatically update your outlook. \nThese sessions will be held online and are an opportunity to: \n\nprovide relevant information to new and existing practitioners across the housing and homelessness sector\nhighlighting work and income products and services\, as well as anything new coming on board\nconnect with regional teams across Aotearoa including Community Liaison Advisors and Regional Housing Managers\nIdentify what people find is working well\, and/or challenging\, when dealing with MSD\, with a service improvement approach.\n\nThere will be short Q&A time included in each session.
