New appointment CEO Tamaki Redevelopment Company
Peter is currently the General Manager, Communications and Stakeholder Engagement for the company.
During this period, Peter will be actively leading the team and continuing the good progress made on many fronts with the community and neighbourhood development projects that are now underway.
Peter has the full confidence of the Board. It is pleasing to have someone with the necessary executive skills within the company and the community of Tamaki to step into the role for this period.
The company and the regeneration programme are at an exciting stage of development. It is therefore important that until the Board is in a position to make a long term appointment to the CEO role, it has someone in place who can build on the platform left by Debra Lawson.
The pace of the regeneration programme needs to move up a gear so it is beneficial to have Peter’s strong and hands-on leadership for the company and the programme during this period.
Peter was raised in Tamaki and having been a member of the Leadership Team over the last two years, understands the complexities of the Tamaki Regeneration Programme. This also ensures a smooth leadership transition for the benefit of all stakeholders, particularly the community.
Peter’s appointment is effective from Debra’s departure date of 19 December 2014.
The Board thanks Debra and wishes her all the best with her future endeavours.
