PrefabNZ + CHA Workshop – 25 February, Auckland
The workshop is part of the Levers for Prefab Action Plan research programme funded by BRANZ, the independent Building Research Association, along with members of the prebuilt design and construction industry. The aim of the workshop is to gauge the number of housing units being built at present and forecast over the next few years in order to develop a visible pipeline of construction work.
There will also be discussion around identifying ways that prebuilt construction can offer higher quality buildings, with significant time-savings and cost-savings. A further research stage will collaboratively identify a repetitive building element that can benefit from refinement through prefabrication, such as an accessible bathroom.
Those involved with business development, design + build management, and construction procurement will find the workshop of particular interest. The discussion will be an extension of conversations started at CHA’s Conference in July 2014.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday 25 February 2-4pm at the office of Idea Services (IHC/Accessible Properties) located at Level 1, 3 Margot Street, Newmarket, Auckland.
