Habitat for Humanity Central Region

http://www.habitatcni.org.nz/

Habitat for Humanity Central Region is a Community Housing Provider and registered charity that supports individuals and whānau to buy, improve, or rent a place to call home. Habitat Central works with communities across the Waikato through to Wellington.

Through our rent-to-buy Progressive Home Ownership programme, we support whānau with a hand-up to achieve their goals of first-time home ownership.

Habitat’s Home Repair programme offers affordable, no-interest loans to help homeowners get back on track with their home maintenance, helping ensure a warm, dry, and safe home.

As a Community Housing Provider, Habitat Central delivers affordable rental options to people on the housing waitlist. Habitat Central also manages Freeman Court, an independent living facility for older people in Te Awamutu, and is a registered retirement village with provision of housing at Alma Brotherhood Court in Kihikihi.

Habitat’s work is supported by our non-profit ReStore and Reuse stores, which help raise vital funds to support our housing programmes and initiatives, and by the generous donors, sponsors, and volunteers who give their time to support Habitat’s work.
