Transbuild is a New Zealand-owned off-site construction company delivering architecturally designed, transportable buildings for the commercial, community, and residential sectors across the North Island.

Established in 2012, Transbuild operates a factory-based manufacturing model that enables consistent quality, programme certainty, and cost control across a wide range of building typologies. With a purpose-built manufacturing facility in South Auckland capable of delivering up to 250 buildings annually, the business is structured to support both single projects and large-scale programmes with confidence.

Through Transbuild Commercial, the business delivers projects for defence, education, corporate, iwi, developer, and community housing clients, providing scalable, cost-effective building solutions that respond to complex delivery requirements.

Transbuild Commercial works alongside government agencies, iwi groups, community housing providers, and private sector organisations to deliver whānau housing, papakāinga developments, medium-density housing, education and training facilities, offices, and mixed-use buildings. Projects range from single and two-storey structures to duplexes and multi-unit developments, all manufactured in Transbuild’s controlled factory environment.

This off-site approach supports faster delivery, improved health and safety outcomes, reduced on-site disruption, and greater certainty around programme and budget. Transbuild places strong emphasis on early engagement, collaborative design, and long-term partnerships, particularly when working alongside mana whenua. Projects are guided by tikanga-informed processes and Te Aranga Māori Design Principles, with a focus on outcomes that support enduring community wellbeing.

Alongside its commercial capability, Transbuild applies the same disciplined off-site methodology to residential housing, supporting a wide spectrum of housing needs across Aotearoa. This integrated model reflects the company’s core ethos: helping Kiwis achieve a place to call home, whether at an individual, whānau, or community scale.

By reducing build time, minimising on-site disruption, and delivering cost certainty, Transbuild helps communities access quality buildings sooner, allowing resources to be directed where they matter most.
