CHA’s Submission on the RBNZ Risk Weighting
CHA delivered this submission to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand in response to their consultation on Risk Weights. We have urged the Reserve Bank to work with banks and financial institutions to recognise lending to registered Community Housing Providers as a separate asset class with a lower risk weighting that acknowledges they are not driven by the same economic factors as profit-oriented investors.
