Feedback session on CHA’s Methamphetamine Regulation Submission

Community Housing Aotearoa invites you to provide feedback on our draft submission on the proposed regulations on methamphetamine contamination. This invite is being sent to our member organisations and all participants in our workshop last June with Drug Foundation on Methamphetamine Harm Reduction. The draft regulations were released by HUD in November and CHA hosted a session in December to learn about the proposals. We have completed the attached draft based on what we have heard from members and want to confirm we have it right. If you are unable to attend, please send us your feedback to [email protected]. We have received an extension from HUD to submit on 27 February, a week after the scheduled date.
The aim of these regulations are to provide clarity and certainty to the sector. The proposals include a maximum acceptable level of residue, maximum inhabitable level, requirements for landlords regarding testing and decontamination, and provisions for possessions left behind in contaminated premises.
