With health and stability in housing rentals being crucial as we navigate a pandemic spent indoors, knowing your rights as a tenant has become more important than ever. Housing is a fundamental human right and everyone should have access to stable housing and fair rent.
This workshop will advise on knowing and asserting your rights as a tenant, as well as exploring dispute resolution avenues. Learn tools and resources to help you advocate for yourself and others. Come join us for a cup of tea and a chat as we push for a world with fairer rentals.
The event will feature Sacha Green, National Advisor – Legal and Strategic at the NZ National Citizens Advice Bureau in Wellington; Laura Drew, Community Housing Law at Community Law; and Geordie Rogers, President of Renters United.
