MSD Training Series – Session 4: Income Support – Benefits

Session 4: Income support – benefits –This session will provide an overview of main benefits
Community Housing Aotearoa and Housing First Auckland in partnership with Ministry of Social Development (MSD) will host a fourth series of online training sessions for practitioners working in the housing and homelessness sector, starting on the 3rd May. To register please click here. This MSD training series includes updated information and new sessions focusing on the following topics:
- Session 1. Products and services to support private rentals – 3rd May 2023
- Session 2. Emergency housing – 14th June 2023
- Session 3. Employment and training supports – 12th July 2023
- Session 4. Income support – benefits – 16th August 2023
- Session 5. Income support – supplementary assistance – 13th September 2023
- Session 6. Public Housing Assessment – 11th October 2023

These sessions will be held online and are an opportunity to:
- provide relevant information to new and existing practitioners across the housing and homelessness sector
- highlighting work and income products and services, as well as anything new coming on board
- connect with regional teams across Aotearoa including Community Liaison Advisors and Regional Housing Managers
- Identify what people find is working well, and/or challenging, when dealing with MSD, with a service improvement approach.
