Increased number of building consents in Auckland

Residential building in Auckland is at its strongest in a decade with 8300 consents for the latest year – an increase of 21 per cent on the previous year. “This is the fourth consecutive year of over 20 per cent growth and is the strongest sustained increase in Auckland house building ever,” Nick Smith says.
