The theme of the conference ‘He whānau whare kore, he kai mate hau Addressing whānau homelessness’ broadens our understanding of whānau/family to include whānui and all communities of support. It is from an understanding of our interconnectedness that we can work together to address the struggles impacting the diverse communities that we belong to.
We encourage abstracts for oral presentations (15 minutes + 5 minutes questions) or poster presentations that include one or more of the following:
1. Innovative ways of working with street and community whānau/families
2. Experiences of engaging with whānau/families from diverse social and cultural backgrounds (including Māori, Pacific, refugee,
migrant, visible and non-visible disabilities, youth, aging, and LGBTQI+)
3. New solutions for persistent challenges to addressing whānau/family wellbeing
Abstract submission process
Abstracts of 150 words must be submitted via our website at www.nzceh.org.nz. The submission must include a title of no more than
15 words; the aim of your presentation and some background to your presentation. Please also include author/presenter information (name,email, contact details, country, organisation).
Abstract submissions are due by 31 August 2017
