    The New Zealand Government declared a State of National Emergency on the 14th February, to assist in the response to Cyclone Gabrielle.

    On the 27th February this was extended for a further seven days. The States of National Emergency covers Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Tairāwhiti, Bay of Plenty, and Hawke’s Bay regions, and the Tararua District.

    Civil Defence Website for more information, centres are open for those who need to evacuate and cannot stay with friends or whānau.
