CHA AGM and Seminar: The Future of our Sector

Oct 7, 2014 | Events

Dear Members and Colleagues

Please join us on Tuesday 14 October for critical discussions on the future of our community housing sector to be held from 10am – 3pm at St Johns in the City, 170 Willis St, Wellington.

We have organised a seminar to discuss the Sector Aspirations, and how things are shaping up for our reporting into the Establishment Unit. Please take the time to read the consultation draft of the Aspirations Paper, as we will be having a open discussion on it. We are confirming MBIE and MSD and Treasury officials to join us for part of the conversation. There has also been further advancement on the Charities/Income Tax Exemption issue and this will also be discussed in depth.

The meeting will also include the CHA Annual General Meeting from 1-2pm. We are seeking nominations for the CHA Council, and need to continue to grow the governance capacity in our sector. Please consider it – in particular our Christchurch, and South Island colleagues!

Kind regards

Scott
