Masterclass Series: Free Workshop on Ethical and Innovative Finance for Affordable Housing

July 14, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Bought to you by Community Housing Aotearoa and the CEO and Sectors Leader Forum

Register here to attend. Join us for the first event in this year’s Masterclass Series. This webinar brings together the following industry leaders who will share their views on ethical finance and how New Zealand can do good with money and help build affordable housing, whilst still making a fair profit.

• Sam Stubbs, Managing Director, Simplicity: an active large scale wholesale investor’s perspective.

• Shamubeel Eaqub, Economist – a plain talking economist’s view.

• Dean Spicer, Head of Sustainable Finance, ANZ – a Bank perspective.

• James Palmer, CEO Community Finance – a practitioner’s perspective. Ethical Finance is already helping community housing providers build more affordable housing.

In the last year Community Finance has raised more than $100 million through New Zealand based philanthropists and institutional investors such as Kiwisaver funds. There is a growing appetite for impact investment opportunities with corporate New Zealand and their investors saying that they want to help address New Zealand’s biggest social and environmental challenges, like for example our housing crisis, at the same time as achieving a fair return.
