Government releases social housing Cabinet papers

The papers include 1) an Overview; 2) Initial steps and future state for purchasing social housing places for clients; and 3) Redevelopment of social housing and engagement with the community housing sector and iwi/Māori.
CHA is still reviewing the content of the papers and will provide more information in our next newsletter. However, we are encouraged that government has released this additional detail regarding the announcements in the Prime Minister’s State of the Nation speech.
