Housing shortage hits young mum hard

No rent has been paid since October 16 and she was evicted on February 20, her possessions stacked on the lawn because she had nowhere to take them.

Multiple applications for emergency housing, social housing and private rentals before her eviction were declined and none of her remaining relatives have room to take them in, she said.
