Social housing issues have dominated headlines this year following the Government’s plan to sell off tens of thousands of state houses to non-Government providers, starting with hundreds in Invercargill and Tauranga. However, the plan struck problems with some of the larger providers opted out of the tendering process. Demelza Leslie on ‘Outspoken’ , is joined by a panel of experts to discuss the future direction of social housing policy – and where to next for the Government’s controversial plans for the sector.
