Membership Benefits

The CHA Constitution sets out two categories of members – Full and Partner  these are defined below:

Full Membership

These are iwi, Māori and Pacific Island and Community or voluntary housing organisations and groups which are either:

a) Providers of Community housing, or

b) Groups intending or seeking to become providers of Community housing, or

c) Groups of residents/tenants of Community housing, or

d) Groups which advocate for Community housing or residents of Community housing as part of their work.

Full member tiers are based on gross annual housing-related turnover.   

Annual fees for Full Members for 2024/25 are:

Tier 1   Over $50 million        $10,000 + GST

Tier 2   $30 – 50 million           $7,500 + GST

Tier 3   $20 – 30 million           $5,000 + GST

Tier 4   $10 – 20 million           $4,000 + GST

Tier 5   $5 – 10 million             $3,000 + GST

Tier 6   $2.5 – 5 million            $2,000 + GST

Tier 7   $1 – 2.5 million            $1,000 + GST

Tier 8 under $1 million              $500 + GST.

The membership year runs from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025.

 

Partner Membership

These are individuals, local authorities, private development companies, and other private and public entities which invest, operate, own or develop affordable, Community and/or Social housing.

Annual fees for Partner Members for 2024/25 are:

Tier 1 up to $1 million gross revenue $500+ GST

Tier 2 over $1 million gross revenue $1,000 + GST.

The membership year runs from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025.
