We have had great feedback about the re-vamped CHA website. Thank you to VisionWest Community Trust for the wonderful images and success story on our home page.
Each of our members has a distinct identity. We would love you to share your stories and photos to post on the CHA website home page – they help bring the website and our sector to life.
February was a blur. As you all know, there is a lot going on. Here’s a summary:

21 November 2013: Community Housing Aotearoa is cautiously optimistic about the Governments multiple announcements on the passage of the Housing Reform Bill and the introduction of legislation to give community housing providers and donors certainty that assisting low income families into home ownership will be exempt from income tax.
Resources and rent subsidies for the Community Housing Sector are discussed by CHA Director Scott Figenshow and some CHA members.
Rau Hoskins, Chair of TeMatapihi and outgoing chair Lisa Woolley formally sign the MOU, paving the way for our organisations to work more closely together.
CHA Members in Auckland and Christchurch recently received confirmation of new funding from the Social Housing Unit. Congratulations!
An article from the Bay of Plenty Times on 19 June highlights the current housing situation in the Bay of Plenty.
